CATERINGSALES MANAGER What You’ll Do
- Drive catering and event revenue by meeting and exceeding sales goals through proactive prospecting, networking, and account management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to maximize customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Negotiate room rates, function space, and contracts using yield and revenue management principles.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, event orders, and other sales documentation accurately and on deadline.
- Collaborate with the Director of Catering & Events and banquet teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Conduct local sales calls, market research, and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Represent the hotel with professionalism, integrity, and a service-focused approach.
- Proven hotel catering or sales experience with a track record of revenue growth.
- Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with excellent organization, time management, and follow-through.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Marriott systems experience a plus. - Reliable transportation and ability to make outside sales calls.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Sales & Marketing, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- CMP designation a plus.
- Schedule varies based on business needs and may include evenings or weekends.
- Ability to stand/walk for portions of the day and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
