Technical Recruiter

Location: Naperville, IL Employment Type: Full-Time

Position

Summary

We’re seeking a Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle recruiting and help us attract, assess, and place highly skilled technical talent. This role is key to building robust candidate pipelines, strengthening client relationships, and supporting Aspen’s continued growth in the technical staffing space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for technical and engineering roles — from job intake to offer acceptance.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to understand workforce needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Source top engineering talent through direct outreach, networking, job boards, social platforms, referrals, and industry events.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and evaluate candidate fit against technical and cultural requirements.
  • Coordinate interview processes and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Provide an excellent candidate experience
    , ensuring professionalism, clear expectations, and ongoing engagement.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting metrics and data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives to boost talent attraction.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 4+ years of technical or engineering recruiting experience (agency or corporate).
  • Proficient at sourcing and engaging with engineering professionals (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil, manufacturing engineers).
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment metrics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Job Diva (ATS System)
  • Experience with referral-based recruiting models or staffing agency environments.
  • Familiarity with technical staffing markets and industry terminology.
