UNCOMN is seeking a Functional Consultant (JCIDS) to:
- Provide Joint Capability Integrated Development Systems (JCIDS) support to USTRANSCOM including reviewing, analyzing, and making recommendations for IT systems and equipment requirements.
- Organize contract operation support functions involving multiple complex and interrelated project tasks.
- Collaborate with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.
- Interface with all levels of client organization, including senior leaders. Assess, analyze, and summarize information and present recommended Courses of Action (COAs).
- Provide persuasive justification to champion USTRANSCOM equity into DoD and Joint Force guidance.
- Manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously, and track and communicate the progress of long-term projects and assigned tasks.
- Professionally represent UNCOMN and USTRANSCOM at meetings and other senior leader engagements.
- Provide innovative solutions to complex problems facing the Joint Force.
This position description outlines the core duties for this role, but it is not all-inclusive. Responsibilities may shift based on contract requirements, mission needs, or organizational objectives.
Requirements- Must hold an active Secret clearance, and be eligible, and willing to obtain, a Top Secret clearance.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related professional experience.
- Knowledge and/or experience in global transportation components (aircraft, rail, shipping, space) and military business processes with an emphasis on logistic operations.
- Basic understanding of OPSEC / INFOSEC and classified accountability and handling.
- Demonstrate professional dress and conduct that represent UNCOMN and the client with excellence in meetings and senior leader engagements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support and interact with senior military leaders.
- Familiarity with NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, and SharePoint.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Experience with requirements development and/or capability development.
- Familiarity or experience with any aspect of the Big ‘A’ Acquisition process;
The Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System, The Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System, or The Defense Acquisition System. - SharePoint site administration and experience with coordination through the Task Management Tool (TMT).
- DAU Level B Acquisition certification (will train if not certified).
- Prior experience proofing, editing, and summarizing military doctrine, strategy, policy, and documentation.
