Job Title: Test Lead (Banking OR Financial)

Location: Naperville, IL (Day one onsite)

Note : This is only W2 Role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to oversee end-to-end testing activities across multiple projects in a fast-paced enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will manage test planning, execution, reporting, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full testing lifecycle, including test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
• Develop and maintain detailed test strategies, test plans, and test documentation.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, product owners, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Coordinate and manage onsite/offshore testing teams, assigning work, tracking progress, and providing guidance as needed.
• Oversee functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Review and validate test scenarios, test cases, and test data created by the team.
• Drive test automation initiatives and support the implementation of automation frameworks where applicable.
• Conduct defect triage meetings, ensuring issues are prioritized and resolved within project timelines.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices.
• Provide regular test execution reports, metrics, and quality updates to project stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and constraints, and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support production validation and post-deployment quality checks during release cycles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in Software Testing, with at least 2–4 years in a Test Lead role.
• Strong experience in test management, test design, and hands-on functional testing.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Experience managing offshore teams and large-scale testing efforts.
• Proficient in test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure Dev Ops, ALM, qTest, Test Rail, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
