Both → Deep expertise across traditional ML and modern AI workflows
Experience:
- B.S. Degree required (advanced degree preferred) in computer science, software engineering, data analytics, or related field
- 10+ years overall hands‑on experience in data or analytics related roles
- 5+ years shipping production ML/AI systems serving real users at scale
- Track record working with senior stakeholders on business‑critical initiatives
- Comfortable operating autonomously as a trusted technical advisor
- MLOps & lifecycle management: MLflow, Kubeflow, Sage Maker, Databricks
- Model serving, monitoring, and retraining strategies
- Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure (incl. managed ML services)
- Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, fine‑tuning approaches
- Vector databases and embedding strategies (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma)
- Agent frameworks and orchestration:
Lang Chain, Llama Index, Semantic Kernel - API integration, evaluation, and guardrails for production AI systems
- Established as an independent contractor
- Currently operating through your own business entity (e.g. C Corp, S Corp, LLC) or willingness and ability to establish entity
- Selective about strategic, high‑impact projects
- Seeking W-2 employment or contracts
- H-1B visa holders through another company
- Early to mid‑career or primarily research/academic focused
SMB & Enterprise organizations tackling:
- Moving AI/ML from pilot to production
- GenAI applications (chatbots, intelligent search, document processing)
- Real-time ML systems serving broad user base
