Location:

Naperville, IL or Marshalltown, IA (Onsite)

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM CT

Pay Range: $17.00 – $21.00 per hour

Duration:
Seasonal (July through December)

Position Overview

Mechdyne is seeking Seasonal Level 1 IT Help Desk Agents to support a key client during a critical high-demand period. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy problem-solving, delivering excellent customer service, and building foundational IT support experience in a fast-paced environment.

This seasonal position will run from July through December
, aligning with a significant ramp-up period for one of our major clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network issues
  • Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as needed
  • Deliver excellent customer service with clear communication and professionalism
  • Follow established processes, documentation, and service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Assist with account setup, password resets, and system access requests
Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts (hardware, software, networking)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Dependable with strong attention to detail
  • Previous help desk or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required
  • 100% onsite role – candidates must be able to work from either:
    • Naperville, Illinois
    • Marshalltown, Iowa
  • Ability to work the scheduled shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM CT
