WLAN Analyst

Overview

As a WLAN Analyst for the client’s Americas team, you will work independently and as part of a team on complex network projects, supporting all client locations across the Americas and leveraging your technical skillset to solve critical business problems.

• Identify and resolve WLAN issues, including off‑shift and weekend support.
• Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components.
• Work with business partners and vendors on infrastructure integration.
• Collaborate with the expanded WLAN team to implement processes and improvements.
• Maintain and administer WLAN hardware, software, applications, and configurations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve WLAN hardware, software, or other network and system problems.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation (approximately 1 week every 8 weeks).

• Computer‑related or engineering‑related four‑year college or university degree.
• Three to six years of progressively responsible IT job‑related experience.
• WLAN implementation and support, including knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, Ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration.
• Functional experience with LAN operations and implementation utilizing Cisco switches.
• Experience with automation technologies and scripting.
• Relevant work experience with medium to large companies.
• Knowledge of configuration commands, software, and hardware components related to WLAN.

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience.
