Systems Administrator
The Research Services Lead-Operations is an integral part of the firm’s Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of the department’s discovery platform, knowledge base, and collaboration work spaces, while supporting day‑to‑day operations and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the firm‑wide catalogue and discovery platforms, including the eLibrary. This role will be located in either their Chicago or Washington, DC office.
Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in‑office presence.
- Working with other areas of Technology & Information Services to support systems configuration, platform upgrades, and maintenance, and to design and manage electronic and print content platforms to ensure resources are easily accessible, relevant to the task, and understood by end users
- Overseeing the department’s knowledge base, and collaborating with the research team to develop and audit content
- Managing the department’s collaboration work spaces, such as Microsoft Teams, iManage, and Share Point
- Supporting services including password management, research platform authentication, and migrations
- Promoting effective work practices by working collaboratively as a team member and demonstrating respect for coworkers
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that the firm retains
- Possess knowledge of electronic and print content administration systems and technologies, such as EOS
- Demonstrate knowledge of bibliographic utilities and current cataloging standards
- Exhibit experience with internet services and user authentication protocols, including IP authentication and single sign‑on
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- A master’s degree or Juris Doctor (J.D.), preferably
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience, preferably
- A minimum of seven (7) years of cumulative experience
