Position OverviewSandy Mac Evolution LLC is seeking an Information Technology / Information Assurance (IT/IA) Specialist II to support Department of Defense (DoD) Special Access Program (SAP) environments at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The selected candidate will provide cybersecurity, systems administration, network administration, and information assurance support for highly classified networks and information systems supporting critical national security missions.
This position supports Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities for organizations including the U.S. Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and other DoD agencies. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience supporting secure enterprise environments, Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance, authorization and accreditation activities, and day-to-day operations of classified information systems.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces.
- Administer and maintain file servers, firewalls, network access controls, security monitoring systems, and associated documentation.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimal performance and operational readiness.
- Prepare systems for operational testing and mission execution.
- Review, prepare, update, and maintain Assessment & Authorization (A&A) packages and supporting documentation.
- Notify stakeholders of system changes that may impact accreditation or authorization status.
- Conduct cybersecurity self-inspections and support compliance assessments.
- Review and coordinate cybersecurity requirements for authorization package Bodies of Evidence.
- Identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation and remediation measures.
- Ensure systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and regulations.
- Perform Video Teleconferencing (VTC) administration, scheduling, configuration, and support.
- Provide external information systems client support.
- Create, modify, and remove user accounts across multiple authorization boundaries.
- Provide Help Desk support and technical troubleshooting assistance.
- Perform hardware and software installations, upgrades, modifications, and system configuration activities.
- Execute system and network patch management activities.
- Provide support for Government-issued laptops and mobile devices.
- Assist with media control, accountability, and inventory management.
- Perform COMSEC account and equipment management functions.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
- 5–7 years of related Information Technology, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, Systems Administration, or Network Administration experience.
- Prior experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or Information Technology/Information Assurance Specialist.
- Experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP).
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience (4 years).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer support skills.
- Ability to work independently within highly secure classified environments.
