Job Description & How to Apply Below

Grey Parrot Systems (GPARROT) is hiring a Senior Technical Scrum Master who brings deep Agile expertise, a strong technical foundation, and the ability to drive high-performing engineering teams across AI-powered and enterprise software delivery engagements.

About Grey Parrot Systems

Grey Parrot Systems (GPARROT) is a women-owned, BEP-certified IT services firm headquartered in Naperville, IL. We partner with mid-market enterprises to deliver AI-first, governance-driven digital transformation. Our team of seasoned CIO/CTO practitioners works side-by-side with clients across retail, logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare — and we're growing.

About the Role

This is not a meeting-scheduler Scrum Master role. At GPARROT, our Technical Scrum Master is a force multiplier — someone who understands the code, the architecture, and the delivery pipeline well enough to have real conversations with engineers, remove meaningful blockers, and drive sprint outcomes with authority and credibility. You will facilitate Agile ceremonies, own delivery health, and champion AI-assisted ways of working across fast-moving engineering teams.

If you have a technical background, live and breathe Agile, and know how to keep engineering teams focused, unblocked, and shipping — this role is for you.

Must-Have Skills
  • 5–8 years of Scrum Master or Agile delivery experience — ideally with a technical background in software engineering
  • Deep hands-on Agile / Scrum expertise — sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, daily standups, and release management
  • Strong technical foundation — comfortable discussing architecture, APIs, Salesforce, Netsuite, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering workflows with development teams
  • Experience with Jira — sprint boards, backlog management, velocity tracking, and reporting
  • Proven ability to identify, eliminate, and remove blockers that impede team delivery
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams — developers, QA, product owners, and designers
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification
What You’ll Do
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming — with precision and energy
  • Own sprint health — tracking velocity, capacity, burndown, and delivery risks across one or more engineering teams
  • Lead delivery across Salesforce platform builds, custom application development, and API integration projects — understanding the technical nuances of each
  • Identify, eliminate, and remove blockers — technical, organizational, and process-related — that slow team delivery on Salesforce, custom app, and API-driven engagements
  • Partner with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and sprint-ready — with technically accurate user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Champion AI-assisted delivery practices — introducing AI coding agents, MCP workflows, and automation tooling to accelerate team output
  • Coach engineers and stakeholders on Agile principles, ceremonies, and continuous improvement practices
  • Track and report on team delivery metrics — velocity, cycle time, sprint completion rate, and quality indicators
  • Drive continuous improvement through structured retrospectives and actionable follow-through
  • Serve as a trusted bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders — translating Salesforce, custom app, and API delivery status into clear, non-technical language
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters, delivery leads, and GPARROT leadership on cross-team dependencies and program-level coordination
  • Support the adoption of AI-DLC (AI-Driven Lifecycle) practices across engineering and QA teams
Nice to Have
  • Prior software engineering, Salesforce development, or API integration background — you have built or integrated systems before
  • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Agilist (SA) certification
  • Experience running Scrum at scale — SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus frameworks
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Dev Ops tools — Copado, Gearset, or Salesforce DX
  • Familiarity with AI…
