Role Overview
The position directly supports the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC). The role is responsible for performing and training team on the following duties: create, update, and track incident tickets, monitor network events and failures, and provide timely situational awareness to leadership and impacted communities.
What You Will DoMonitor network events and failures 24/7/365, analyze alarms, identify impacts, isolate root causes, and coordinate corrections. Notify relevant contacts about network incidents, coordinate with service providers for fault correction, and provide updates on service status and outages.
Why It Might Be a FitThe ideal candidate will have a moderate understanding of network topologies, including transport and IP, and be proficient in at least three of the following areas: routers, switches, crypto devices, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching.
Requirements- DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent)
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
- Background in alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management
- Moderate understanding of network topologies, including transport and IP
- Proficient in at least three of the following areas: routers, switches, crypto devices, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching
- Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
