Position Summary Develop and underwrite a profitable E&S (non‑admitted) Property portfolio by building and deepening relationships with approved wholesale brokers across the region—including travel, presentations, and product training—while deploying capacity, setting pricing, negotiating terms, and monitoring portfolio performance under the guidance of Regional Property Management.

• Under the guidance of Regional Property Management and within the company guidelines, develop a profitable book of business in the E&S Property specialty.
• Develop and maintain relationships with approved wholesale brokers, including but not limited to travels within the region, prepare and deliver presentations, training on our new products.
• Underwrite, maintain, and grow a profitable book of business in the non-admitted property market with wholesale brokers. This includes evaluating and prioritizing submissions; analyzing exposure, coverage requests; determining acceptable deployment of gross and net capacity, determining pricing and negotiating the final property insurance product on an account basis. Monitor portfolio metrics.
• Identify business opportunities to differentiate the company and assist the Regional Property Manager and the Property Operations Manager in their development.

• 10+ years of property experience handling E&S property. This should include at least 4 years at a non-admitted carrier as an underwriter.
• Well developed active listening, problem solving mindset and interpersonal skills for developing and strengthening broker relationships.
• Strong communications skill, business writing and oral presentation skills must be excellent.
• Well developed business acumen to understand performance metrics, develop and implement profitable growth strategy within the assigned territory.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Sound technology capabilities in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and ability to use and manipulate data.
• Knowledge of CAT Modeling parameters (PML, AAL, data quality) to assess an account and a portfolio exposure and calculate a cat rate.
• Understanding of risk selection and risk assessment; ability to develop loss estimates, negotiate a risk mitigation plan based on survey reports and place facultative reinsurance when necessary.
• Management or team lead experience preferred.

• Bachelor's degree (ideally with a degree/major in Economics, Business, Risk-management or Engineering).
• Additional industry-specific study or designations (such as CPCU & ARM) are a plus.

Base salary range is $180,571-$244,301 plus 20%-25% STI and LTI. Position is incentive eligible. Total compensation will take into account location, scope and responsibilities, qualifications, availability and business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
