Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in the Greater Chicago Area, in our Lake County office, for an Associate Family Law Attorney at Beermann LLP. Responsibilities will include providing legal support and guidance to clients on a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support modifications, and pre- or post-nuptial agreements. Daily tasks will involve drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting depositions, filing motions, and representing clients in court.

This role requires maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality while advocating effectively for the best interests of clients.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Family Law, including experience in handling divorce, custody, support, and related legal issues
  • Proficiency in drafting and filing Motions and handling Depositions
  • Knowledge of client advocacy in legal settings, such as court proceedings and negotiations
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to client confidentiality
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice law in the state of Illinois
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Prior experience at a family law firm or in a client-facing legal role is highly preferred
