Director, Portfolio Management - Next Gear (Great Plains Market)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a team of 10‑15 Portfolio Managers.
  • Achieve all goals and performance targets set by the company.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of and compliance with company policies.
  • Coach and performance manage Portfolio Managers.
  • Serve as a fiduciary for the company, identifying and reporting material compliance issues.
  • Cultivate cross‑business unit relationships and opportunities.
  • Act as ambassador for Cox Automotive through industry involvement.
  • Participate and support other projects and initiatives as required.

Skills And Abilities
  • Knowledge of the automotive and finance industries.
  • Strong financial acumen and working knowledge of key financial tools.
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients and partners.
  • Strong time‑management, negotiation, collection, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a remote environment.
  • Safety awareness and ability to take necessary precautions.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Salesforce.
Education And Experience
  • BA/BS (or equivalent) with 10+ years in finance, business development, territory management, and account management. 8 years can be substituted for an MS degree, 5 years for a PhD, or 14 years for a degree.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Automotive and/or floorplan industry experience preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Travel: >50 % with some overnight travel.
  • Must be able to travel, fly, drive and sit/stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
Compensation

Base salary: $131,600 – $219,400 per year, plus potential incentive and additional compensation.

Benefits
