We are seeking a Molding Manufacturing Engineer to play a critical role in transferring molded products from development into full‑scale production and sustaining high‑performing manufacturing processes. This position blends hands‑on molding expertise, process development, and customer‑facing engineering, offering the opportunity to influence product quality, efficiency, and scalability in a regulated manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with R&D, production, quality, and external vendors to ensure molding processes meet customer expectations for quality, cost, and delivery, while continuously improving equipment, tooling, and workflows.

What

You’ll Do
  • Support and comply with the Quality Management System, including all applicable SOPs within the Manufacturing Training Matrix.
  • Partner with R&D to support molding and secondary operations during product development.
  • Lead and support the transfer of molding projects from development into manufacturing using established transfer checklists.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for molding‑related issues from production and development teams.
  • Coordinate and manage transfer builds, including materials, labor, and production line readiness.
  • Manage production lines during transfer builds to ensure smooth execution and issue resolution.
  • Develop and optimize molding processes to achieve target throughput, yield, and cost objectives.
  • Train assemblers and production personnel on molding procedures, equipment setup, and line start activities during and after transfer.
  • Communicate with vendors to support production needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
  • Manage and execute process validation activities in accordance with Master Validation Plans, including IQ, OQ, PQ, Gauge R&R, and software validation.
  • Perform IQ, OQ, and PQ activities for assigned molding projects.
  • Coordinate the design and implementation of custom equipment and fixtures to meet cost, quality, and throughput targets.
  • Lead acquisition, installation, and qualification of new molding and secondary equipment; develop preventive maintenance procedures as needed.
  • Support equipment maintenance and troubleshooting within scope of expertise; manage escalation and support equipment re‑entry into production.
  • Ensure effective handoff of processes, documentation, and training to production teams.
  • Identify and address safety risks related to molding equipment and processes through procedural updates or equipment modifications.
  • Support production line layout improvements to enhance efficiency and ergonomics.
  • Participate in annual risk assessments and manage updates to Device Master Records (DMR).
What You’ll Bring
  • A strong foundation in molding processes with a passion for hands‑on engineering and continuous improvement.
