Status:Full Time Position - Hourly non-exempt

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and qualified Welder II who has

proven experience with industrial and construction equipment. You will be responsible for welding, cutting, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. You will need to be able interpret blueprints and understand our conveyor materials and products.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints,schematics and detailed repair drawings related to equipment and machinery.
• Collects necessary tools and materials and plans work order procedure details using provided instructions and specifications.
• Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
• Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
• Occasionally travel to job sites to assist with installation or customer concerns.
• Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
• Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
• Help train and assist entry level Welders.
• Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures continuing to promote the Company's culture of providing a safe work environment
• Maintain a positive and proactive attitude towards all colleagues, members of Management, and customers.
• Ability to work on other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Skills/Requirements:

● Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.

● Some technical knowledge and proficiency in troubleshooting simple systems.

● Ability to work with little supervision and make sound decisions in a fast-paced on-site

environment.

● Effective communication skills to interact with customers and Team Members.

● Detail oriented with good organizational and time management abilities.

● Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel as required.

● Bachelor's Degree in equivalent field or 2 years of relevant work experience.

● Reliable transportation to and from work and customer sites.

● Valid driver's license.

● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00

• Ability for some overtime throughout the year depending on business needs.
• Paid weekly in arrears each Friday.
