We're seeking a Senior Copywriter to craft messaging and storytelling that engages customers throughout their journey—from top of funnel consideration through conversion and long-term advocacy.

How you'll spend your time at Tovala:
- Write clear, persuasive, and on-brand copy across all marketing channels
- Maintain Tovala’s brand voice and tone, expertly tailoring its use to the relevant channel and moment within the customer journey
- Present creative concepts and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders with an ability to root your thinking to the broader goals and business objectives
- Immerse yourself in the customer experience, using customer insights and a consumer-centric lens to tailor copy to where they’re at in the funnel
- Ruthlessly self-edit with an on clarity and brevity;
You’re keenly aware that your message is only as strong as its likelihood to be consumed - Explore multiple “ways in” with your approach and be able to speak to their benefits and trade-offs
- Keep a close eye on industry trends and the competitive landscape with a focus on ideas relevant to Tovala and its ability to stand out in market
- Act as a strategic partner to marketing and product, leveraging customer insights and translating them into creative solutions
- Use emerging technologies like AI as a research and exploratory tool to quickly understand market and consumer trends, storytelling inroads, and other information that can provide efficiency in developing your broader creative thinking
What you'll bring to the table:
- 3+ years of copywriting experience at an in-house or external agency
- A portfolio showcasing your abilities in crafting D2C marketing across print and digital channels
- Strong understanding of key marketing channels, including best practices and measurement metrics, and an ability to use these to guide your approach
- Proven storytelling abilities demonstrating how to speak to customers’ wants and needs in a way that resonates
- Strong communication skills focused on action and understanding;
You are clear, concise, and ask second order questions to grasp the full picture - The understanding that feedback is a gift—you welcome all feedback and further navigating how to use it effectively to improve the creative solution
- A deep understanding of how to leverage wit and humanity in tone, without getting flowery
- An ability to cut through the clutter and distill jargon or complexity into easy to understand messages
- A proven record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and self-prioritize your efforts accordingly
- Strong engagement that seeks to collaborate, learn, and understand and identify paths forward—while maintaining a bias for action
- A passion to think beyond the creative brief to discover additional ideas and opportunities that further benefit the business KPIs or overall brand impression
- A learner mindset that you actively apply to grow your skill set and improve your hard- and soft-skills
