The Role: We are seeking a Manager of Retail Paid Search to join our team and contribute to strategic initiatives for several enterprise retail accounts, focusing on search execution within Amazon. You will develop and execute paid search strategies that drive performance and growth, collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with client objectives, and deliver reporting, insights, and projects in a timely, budget-conscious manner to support flawless execution.
Responsibilities- You set a positive example and guide the growth of careers of junior team members.
- Report on and optimize client marketing campaigns within the Amazon retail media network, specifically the Amazon Sponsored Ecosystem.
- Play an essential role on client teams to build and execute large-scale campaigns and tests that deliver on strategy.
- Make recommendations on alignment with Amazon and other retail media platforms; create roadmaps and collaborate with internal teams to drive client success.
- Communicate clearly with clients; contribute to presentations and maintain strong communication skills.
- Support the expansion of the Retail Media practice within the Creative & Media team at DEPT in North America and globally, within a team of 130 Retail Media specialists.
- Develop and execute digital campaigns from conception to launch across platforms like Amazon (experience on Walmart and Target a bonus).
- Manage and optimize sponsored campaigns.
- Oversee account management monitoring and optimization techniques to drive performance toward client targets and budgets.
- Qualify ideas from team members and prioritize initiatives with the greatest impact on account performance.
- Own updates, monitoring, and communication of budget pacing and high-level campaign performance (daily/weekly).
- Demonstrate effective time management; balance workload, meet deadlines, and communicate when timelines cannot be met.
- Develop a deep understanding of retail search and maintain a growth mindset.
- Minimum of 3 years’ paid marketing/ecommerce experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ paid search experience.
- At least 2 years of experience building paid search campaigns within the Amazon platform.
- At least 2 years of experience with client-facing engagements with a consultative approach.
- Familiarity with Amazon Vendor/Seller Central is required.
- Proven track record of managing successful paid search campaigns for enterprise-level accounts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Proactive, creative, and enthusiastic; willing to roll up your sleeves, learn, and grow beyond eCommerce advertising.
- Demonstrated consultative communication skills.

LocationThis is a hybrid office location with an expectation to go into the office 3 days per week. You must be located within 50 miles of our Chicago, IL office at One South Wacker, 1 S Wacker Dr #2250, Chicago, IL 60606.
SalaryChicago, IL Salary Range: $65,000—$75,000 USD
