Position: *RN - Full Time Registered Nurse - Adult Unit

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position

Registered Nurse – Part Time (24 hrs/wk)

Responsibilities
  • Regularly perform duties of a professional nurse including assessing patients’ condition, developing and administering patient care plans, documenting care administered, and evaluating patient care outcomes.
  • Welcome patients to the unit and promote a safe, therapeutic milieu by providing supervision and feedback to direct care staff.
  • Communicate with families and health care providers to collect and analyze data regarding patients’ physical, psychosocial, environmental, self‑care, educational, and anticipated discharge planning needs.
  • Participate in the development of interdisciplinary planning process and ensure that medical problems are incorporated into the treatment plan.
  • Assist in the development and attainment of nursing department goals and objectives; assist in selection and orientation of qualified personnel; serve as a role model and central resource for students.
  • Explain and clarify organization policies and procedures to staff and patients; utilize opportunities with community groups to enhance knowledge of mental health problems.
  • Supervise direct patient care as required; work within budgetary constraints, including staffing, overtime, and use of supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
  • Minimum one‑year psychiatric experience.
  • Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the psychiatric population.
