Overview

• Develop and deliver a comprehensive curriculum for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• Facilitate engaging and interactive classroom sessions, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
• Provide clinical instruction, guiding students through hands‑on experiences in healthcare settings.
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback for growth.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, incorporating current best practices into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty members to enhance program effectiveness.
• Mentor and support students, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the LPN program through participation in curriculum development and program evaluation.
• Stay informed about regulatory requirements and accreditation standards relevant to nursing education.
• Other duties assigned as necessary.

• Degree in Nursing: BSN or MSN.
• Valid Illinois nursing license.
• Prior teaching experience, preferably in a nursing education setting.
• Strong clinical experience as a nurse, with expertise in LPN practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
• Commitment to maintaining high academic standards and fostering student success.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards for nursing education programs.
