We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Inspector to support quality control and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast‑paced manufacturing and operations environment. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure product compliance, manage supplier quality activities, and support inspections, documentation, and corrective action processes.

What You’ll Do- Perform inspections of products, components, assemblies, and vehicles against drawings and specifications
- Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation using digital quality systems
- Support supplier quality management activities, including non‑conformance reporting and corrective action follow‑up
- Conduct post‑rework inspections to verify product compliance
- Participate in customer inspections and support corrective and preventative action tracking
Monitor calibration status of inspection and measurement equipment
Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality system
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred
- 3+ years of quality inspection experience within a manufacturing or related industry
- 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- 2+ years of experience working with quality standards such as ISO
9001, IRIS, or similar quality systems - 2+ years of experience using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- 1+ years of SAP experience
- Knowledge of railway industry standards
- Experience with supplier quality management and non‑conformance processes
- Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques and quality systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities
- Experience working with documentation management systems and cross‑functional teams
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and drug screen
- Fully onsite role requiring 5 days per week onsite in Naperville
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout production and warehouse areas for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 25 pounds with or without assistance
- PPE including safety shoes and safety glasses may be required in manufacturing environments
- Position may require work in production, warehouse, laboratory, or testing environments with varying noise levels and industrial odors
