Role Description The Store Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chicago Area, responsible for delivering an exceptional in-store experience that reflects Läderach’s premium brand. Day-to-day tasks include greeting and engaging customers, sharing product knowledge, offering samples, and guiding guests through the chocolate assortment to support individual preferences and gifting needs. The role involves operating the point-of-sale system, handling cash and card transactions accurately, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and ensuring the boutique is clean, organized, and well-stocked.

Store Associates assist with inventory counts, restocking, and product rotation to uphold freshness and quality standards, as well as supporting store opening and closing procedures. The position may also involve participating in in-store events, contributing to sales targets, and promoting customer loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Customer Loyalty skills, with a focus on creating welcoming, memorable experiences for every guest.
• Clear and professional Communication skills, including the ability to explain product features, ingredients, and brand story in an engaging way.
• Retail Sales experience, with the ability to meet or exceed sales goals, recommend products, and handle transactions efficiently.
• Basic Store Management capabilities, such as supporting merchandising, inventory control, and adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Interest in premium food or chocolate products, with a willingness to learn about Läderach’s assortment and craftsmanship.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move product, and perform routine physical tasks in a retail environment.
• Reliable time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
