Position Summary

Patco Brands is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead commercial performance across a ten-state Midwest region within the Central Division. Reporting to the Central Division VP of Sales, this remote role manages wine and spirits distributors, beer wholesalers, retail execution, and a team of five Area Managers and Field Sales Managers.

The Regional Sales Manager will work with distributor leadership, National Account Managers, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, Demand Planning, and senior leadership to deliver regional goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own distributor relationships, annual plans, business reviews, and performance accountability.
  • Deliver regional volume, distribution, revenue, and profit goals through disciplined pricing and execution.
  • Lead five Area Managers and Field Sales Managers against clear priorities and standards.
  • Grow distribution and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts.
  • Manage T&E, tactical, and distributor CPC budgets.
  • Build and execute distributor programs aligned with brand priorities.
  • Set distributor KPIs and track performance through data-driven scorecards.
  • Lead monthly sales, distribution, and inventory forecasting with Demand Planning.
  • Manage distributor inventory and product availability.
  • Motivate distributor sales teams through effective meetings, presentations, and account calls.
  • Convert chain authorizations into distributor and retail execution.
  • Conduct market visits to assess retail conditions, competitive activity, and execution.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Six or more years of beverage alcohol sales experience, including direct distributor management.
  • Experience with both wine and spirits distributors and beer wholesalers preferred.
  • Proven success growing brands through the three-tier system.
  • Experience leading field sales teams across multiple states.
  • Strong organization and follow-through across programs, budgets, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of pricing, depletions, distributor inventory, and syndicated data.
  • Ability to turn data into clear selling presentations and measurable distributor commitments.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and travel 50-60%, including overnight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, VIP, Circana, and Nielsen.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Ability to lift and move product cases as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.

Salary range: $115,000-$150,000 per year.
