Sales Director, Time-Critical Logistics

Our client is investing in adding individual-contributor sales hunters for an established specialized transportation company in Chicago's western suburbs.

$110k - $140k base + uncapped commission paid for the life of every account you bring in (monthly draw resets every month, with no negative balance carried forward)

Chicago, IL Western Suburbs, hybrid 3 days in office

• Multi-generation, $50M+ domestic air and specialized ground provider
• Some of the best domestic air rates in the market, backed by airline volume
• Serves trade show, expedited, event, retail, medical device, and POS/kiosk equipment freight
• Small sales team, open territory, limited internal competition

• Operations handles quoting, load building, carrier sourcing, and tracking
• Customer requests get a response within 15 minutes
• Sales team doesn't have to worry about covering freight

• Win new MM and Enterprise shippers through your own prospecting
• Hold monthly in-person meetings with potential new shipper customers
• Grow won accounts across Air, Expedited, White Glove, Sprinter, Box Truck, and exclusive use freight
• Work closely with leadership and internal teams
• Travel 20% to 30%, (mostly IL local)

• 10+ years in B2B logistics sales
• Direct experience selling Domestic Air, Expedited, and/or Specialized Ground
• Proven ability of new-logo wins, and building/carrying a strong book of business
• A discovery-driven sales style built on asking questions before pitching
