  Wednesday - Sunday

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
• In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, coordinate the work of assigned department staff.
• Assist the Shift Supervisor in training and orienting newly hired Security Officers on his/her shift.
• Monitor Security Officers while they perform their duties and provide ongoing direction during the shift.
• Determine when an incident requires a written report, identify the appropriate report form, and submit to Supervisor, Public Safety.
• Assist Shift Supervisor to coordinate interviews for investigations with employees and law enforcement agencies.
• Brief the incoming Lead Officer regarding any reports and pertinent information.
• Perform duties of a Public Safety Officer.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a customer-focused service-based organization.

• Fundamental understanding of computers, loss prevention, and fire/security technology.
• A basic level of microcomputer software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).

• Valid Illinois Firearm Owner’s Identification Card within 90 days of start date.
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross within 90 days of start date.
• A valid driver’s license and proof of automobile liability coverage if personal vehicle used.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within six months of hire.

• IAHSS Basic Healthcare Security Officer training certification within twelve months of start date.
• Supervisor Healthcare Security Officer Certification.
