Job Description
Pearce is seeking experienced HVAC technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell‑tower sites. This fast‑paced position is best suited for responsible, self‑directed, highly motivated, and travel‑ready individuals. Candidates should reside in the Naperville, Illinois area.
Core Responsibilities- Maintain cooling systems – diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.
- Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Perform additional maintenance or upgrades to out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call‑out services.
- Complete daily work reports accurately and on time.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience- Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified required
. - 3+ years of experience with commercial HVAC maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
Candidates must comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA Standards.
- Candidates should reside in the Naperville, Illinois area.
- Must be available for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs on occasion.
- Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.
- Occasional overnights required; company pays all travel costs and provides per diem.
- Driving to remote work sites as needed.
- Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Will be required to pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). rate: $30.00–$38.00 (DOE). The pay range reflects fair and transparent practices and may vary by skill, experience, and location. Additional compensation may include performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation. Base Pay Range: $30–$38 USD.Benefits
