The City of Naperville is seeking a Substation Technician to install and maintain electric substation equipment, test and repair high voltage lines, and support switch gear and related components. You will work in confined spaces and near energized equipment, including manholes and basements.
Originally involved with IBEW Local 9 union, wage rates and benefits follow the collective bargaining agreement. Starting salary is $65.41 per hour; 2026 wages will be set after a new agreement is ratified.
