Senior Software Engineer - Digital and Web

• Naperville, IL 60563, USA - Hybrid (T-TH in office, M & F remote)

The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of our portfolio of applications, mentor development teams, design, develop and support software components, determine root cause for complex issues and propose long‑term solutions in partnership with cross‑functional teams.

• Develop and code full‑stack applications using React, Next.js, Node.js and GraphQL.
• Collaborate with designers, front‑end developers and product managers to refine requirements.
• Document solutions with documentation, flowcharts and layouts.
• Apply Test‑Driven Development.
• Implement analytics tracking for websites using Google Analytics tags.
• Participate in prioritization to bring hidden technical needs to the roadmap.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience with responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility and mobile‑responsive applications.
• Minimum of 6 years of designing and developing complex e‑commerce websites in a fast‑paced digital team.
• Solid understanding of web application principles, design patterns (component‑based architecture) and best practices.
• Experience building new features and maintaining existing projects with Next.js / React, GraphQL, Node.js, and MongoDB.
• Good understanding of containerization concepts (Docker or Kubernetes).
• Good understanding of integration patterns, REST, Web Sockets, XML, JSON and YAML.
• Experience with CSS frameworks such as Tailwind, Bootstrap or custom SCSS.
• Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools.
• Experience with on‑site SEO: metadata, header elements, robots file, sitemaps, etc.
• Experience working in subscription and/or e‑commerce companies a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
