SAP iXp Intern – AI Engineer Intern (Customer Success)

Location:

Naperville, IL

Internship Duration: 12 months

Working hours:

20-40 hours/week

As an AI Engineer Intern, you will support the exploration, prototyping, and implementation of AI‑driven solutions that improve customer outcomes and internal productivity within SAP Customer Success. You’ll work with engineers and product stakeholders to build small features, run experiments, and document learnings. Because AI evolves quickly, adaptability, curiosity, and practical problem-solving are essential.

• Assist in developing and validating AI use cases that improve operational effectiveness.
• Participate in the lifecycle of AI projects from ideation and prototyping to pilot deployment under guidance.
• Support integration of AI capabilities into existing tools and services (APIs, microservices).
• Research emerging AI trends (LLMs, retrieval, evaluation) and summarize applicability to SAP scenarios.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation, experiment reports, and implementation guides

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning. We iterate fast and deploy to production quickly. The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and methods is essential.

  Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Exceptions possible for candidates demonstrating strong resourcefulness and creative technical problem‑solving.
