PTMA Financial Solutions is building practical, enterprise-grade AI for a U.S.
-regulated financial services environment. As a midlevel individual contributor on the Data & AI team
, you will help develop and refine PTMA’s daily AI usage and automations, working hands‑on in PTMA’s enterprise Claude environment and contributing to data and analytics engineering as needed.
Location: Naperville, IL (hybrid).
Experience: 2+ years.
Compensation: USD 120,000 to 145,000 per year.
- Develop and refine PTMA’s enterprise Claude deployment, including prompt design
, custom skills
, and configuration under the direction of senior team members. - Build and maintain AI-powered automations across business units such as Finance
, Compliance
, Sales
, and Operations
, partnering with team leads to map manual processes and deliver measurable time savings
. - Partner with internal departments to develop and refine AI skills, plugins, and integrations that connect to internal systems, including Salesforce and data pipelines.
- Create and maintain integrations and custom tooling, including MCP integrations and API connections
, so AI can work with PTMA systems and data. - Support data and analytics engineering work as needed, including dbt models;
Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory pipelines;
SQL Server and Azure SQL
; and Power BI reporting for AI, forecasting, and public finance use cases. - Support responsible AI practices aligned with SEC
, FINRA
, and NIST CSF requirements, including data handling, output review, and audit-ready documentation. Work with Info Sec and Compliance to keep AI usage safe and governed. - Drive adoption by writing user guides
, running training sessions, and explaining what AI can and cannot do to non-technical colleagues.
- Hands‑on experience building with large language models
, including prompt engineering and deploying AI‑assisted workflows or automations into real use. - Working knowledge of data engineering concepts, including APIs
, data pipelines
, and structured and unstructured data. - Proficiency in Python (or a comparable language) for AI integration and scripting.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate a business need into a practical AI or data solution.
- Ability to clearly communicate AI capabilities and limitations to non-technical colleagues.
- Comfort working in or supporting a regulated environment
, with attention to data privacy and responsible AI practices. - 2 to 5 years of professional experience in software, data, or analytics engineering, including hands‑on experience building with large data models.

- Within 90 days: learn PTMA’s current Claude deployment and active use cases, document what you’ve learned, and ship at least one new automation or improvement with team support.
- Within 12 months: become a reliable, hands‑on contributor to PTMA’s AI capability, integrate Claude into several operational workflows, and support internal teams as a go‑to partner for building and refining AI skills and integrations.
- Hybrid schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are mandatory in‑office days. Monday and Friday are remote.
- Occasional in‑office presence on Mondays, Fridays, or weekends may be required depending on active projects or business needs. Other working arrangements may be negotiated with exceptional candidates.
- Work location options: hybrid from the Denver, CO office or Naperville, IL office.
