Role OverviewThis is a new, high-impact field leadership role responsible for revitalizing and scaling Group Fitness across the our clubs in the territory. The Group Fitness Field Manager will be deeply embedded in their region, partnering closely with District Managers, General Managers, Group Fitness Team Leads, and instructors to drive participation, optimize schedules, and execute high-energy events that bring members into the clubs.
Group Fitness is often the most human, emotional touchpoint for members—this role exists to protect and elevate that experience. The right person brings both heart and structure: someone who understands the emotional impact instructors have on members and can set clear expectations, manage performance, and drive results without getting pulled into drama. This role has strong visibility, meaningful influence, and room to grow as the region expands over time.
WhatSuccess Looks Like
In the first 30 days, this person is in the clubs—learning the business, building trust, observing schedules, and understanding instructor dynamics. By days 60–90, they’re executing an 8-week focus plan across priority clubs, coaching leaders, launching or supporting events, and beginning to shift participation trends. Longer-term success looks like stronger schedules, more consistent instructor leadership, higher engagement, and clubs that feel energized and aligned.
Key Responsibilities- Drive group fitness participation through schedule optimization and instructor development
- Partner with DMs, GMs, and Field Marketing on high-impact event execution
- Coach and support Group Fitness Team Leads, including onboarding and 30/60/90-day check-ins
- Lead national calls and support consistency across regions
- Diagnose club-specific challenges and tailor solutions (this is not a one-size-fits-all role)
- Set expectations, manage performance, and navigate instructor dynamics professionally
- Operate with strong organization and follow-through using tools like Asana
We’re looking for a self-starter with strong group fitness credibility who is comfortable living in the field and leading without a script. This person should be strategic, analytical, task-oriented, and confident setting boundaries—someone who can balance empathy with accountability.
Must-Haves- 2+ years teaching boutique group fitness (Les Mills experience is a plus)
- Current nationally accredited Group Fitness or Personal Training certification
- Comfort traveling regionally and working some weekends
- Clear, direct communicator who can lead through influence
- Comfortable spending ~70% of time in clubs
- Multi-unit or regional exposure
- Experience partnering closely with GMs and DMs
- Background reworking or rebuilding programming and schedules
- Experience managing or supporting instructors through performance issues
- Les Mills experience
This is a great fit for someone with group fitness leadership roots—or even a former GM with strong group fitness knowledge—who wants a role with creativity, autonomy, and impact.
