We are looking for a Senior Strategic Capacity Sales to lead strategy and execution of contractual freight.
Responsibilities include:
- Negotiating high-level purchasing agreements
- Leveraging strategic carrier relationships
- Bridging the gap between Sales and Operations
- Acting as a liaison between the organization, shippers, and carrier partners
This role includes travel in the US and Canada.
Day to day:
- Strategic Sourcing & Lane Development
- Capacity Procurement:
Proactively identify and qualify asset-based carriers to service recurring lanes and project freight. - Analyze lane data to identify opportunities for consolidation
- Execute purchasing strategies that improve margin consistency
- Collaborate with the Sales team during bid season
- Negotiate standing orders and dedicated pricing with carriers
