Specialist, Logistics

Compensation for this role is $45,000 - $55,000, with potential bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and skill set.

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken, and communicate load status to receivers and customers.
• Monitor daily pick‑ups and deliveries; verify that loads arrive on time and in good condition.
• Handle check calls from drivers, ensuring timely delivery and validating all load data before marking loads delivered for accounting.
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation.
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept or decline loads based on account manager direction.
• Provide detailed directions and instructions for proper driver routing.

• 1 year of logistics experience.
• General knowledge of the transportation industry.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form.
