Special Education Bus Monitor
HINCKLEY-BIG ROCK CUSD 429
DESCRIPTION: Bus monitor needed for the school year to assist the bus driver in ensuring safe transportation of students to and from school. Responsibilities can include assisting with boarding, deboarding and securing safety belts, managing social-emotional needs, general supervision and communicating effectively with the driver and other staff. Patience, compassion, and the ability to follow instructions are essential. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
- Flexible, calm and student centered.
- Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
HOURS: Approx 4.5 hours per day (7:00-9:15 am / 1:00-3:15 pm)
PAY RATE: $16 per hour
