With direction from the Parts Manager, individuals in this role will be responsible for placing and receiving parts orders via the inventory management system, conducting physical inventory, and processing outbound shipments of parts. The individual in this role will be responsible for assisting customers with part needs through phone, online, and in-person interactions.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities are representative of the work to be performed and may not be all inclusive.
- Assist customers in identifying and securing parts via phone, online, and in-person interactions
- Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner
- Uses computer applications on a daily basis to order, receive, and research parts, as well as maintain the inventory management system
- Receives shipments, delivers parts to appropriate area, and places stock parts in proper inventory locations
- Reviews parts invoices and updates pricing, as appropriate
- Picks, packs, and appropriately labels outbound shipments
- Maintains thorough records of all inbound and outbound shipments and returns to ensure accuracy of the inventory management system
- Participates and/or leads annual inventory activities
- May be responsible for organizing and maintaining parts warehouse to ensure parts are easily located and the area remains clean
- Assists in maintaining all department tools and equipment
- Makes hydraulic hoses and cuts chain to length
- Works on special projects and assignments as requested
- Ability to pass entry, intermediate, and expert level parts certification(s)
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic parts and machinery knowledge preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right individual
- Ability to leverage computer applications for inventory management, ordering, and parts identification
- Ability to/learn to operate a forklift and routinely lift 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
