Overview
Penske Logistics is seeking Lead Dock Associates to join an excellent team. The role requires a safety-conscious individual with a pleasant, outgoing attitude who can excel in a warehouse environment. The associate provides support and some supervision to regular and temporary warehouse associate functions and works closely with Operations Supervisors to meet employee productivity expectations.
Work Schedule2nd Shift Mon‑Fri 3:30 PM to finish
Compensation$23.00 per hour plus $1.00 Shift Differential totaling $24.00 per hour
Major Responsibilities- Stage and sort products for loading
- Load and unload trailers
- Execute and provide process & project visibility to Operations Supervisor
- Act as an expert in warehouse functions
- Lead & comply with Safety and Well‑Being efforts on assigned shift
- Stack cardboard boxes and pallets
- Move materials within the warehouse
- Bend, lift, and walk as required
- Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
- Complete daily logs
- Communicate with associates from other shifts
- Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line
- Use computer to enter records
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
- Transport stored items from warehouse to plant or pick up items from several locations for shipment (where applicable)
- Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications- 4 years of warehouse experience required
- 2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred
- 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior forklift certification preferred
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred
- Ability to learn and use proprietary software required
- Flexible to work overtime preferred
- Ability to work in non‑climate controlled conditions
- Ability to lead a small team, work independently, provide customer service, multitask, organize, and manage time and numbers effectively
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, adhere to required schedule, work at the specified location, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation, and undergo drug screening required
The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg). The role requires frequent walking, standing, and use of hands to touch, handle, and feel. The associate must see and verbally communicate, understand instructions and guidelines, and have specific vision and hearing abilities to safely perform job duties.
