1.0 FTE - SOUTH ORANGEMIDDLE SCHOOL

AVAILABLE 8/31/26 THROUGH 12/2/26

THE POSITION

The goal of this position is to teach middle school students within a challenging Mathematics curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • New Jersey Certification required;
    Teacher of Math or Elementary with Math Specialization Grades 6-8.
  • Working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards and the Standards of Mathematical Practice.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction.
  • Teaching experience preferred, especially with middle school students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially excellent rapport with children.
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.
  • Starting Salary Range
    • Bachelor's Degree: $70,

    JOB GOAL(S):
    To provide instructional leadership in the classroom in accordance with the course of study approved by the Board of Education approved curriculum.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.

  • Participates in appropriate building and district meetings.
  • Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    To maintain effective relationships with teachers, students, parents, administrators and appropriate community groups.
