OverviewMedford Public School is seeking a dedicated High School ESY Special Education Teacher to provide one-to-one instructional support for a student participating in our Extended School Year program. This role is ideal for an educator who is committed to individualized instruction, student growth, and maintaining continuity of learning over the summer.
Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 instruction aligned with the student's IEP goals
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior supports as outlined in the IEP
- Collect data on student progress and communicate updates to the ESY team
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
- Collaborate with program coordinators as needed
- Ensure consistent attendance and punctuality for all scheduled ESY sessions
- Valid Special Education teaching license (ABS, ASD, EBD, SLD, or equivalent)
- Experience working in 1:1 instructional settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to implement individualized behavior and academic plans
Hourly rate of pay based on the Medford School District Teacher Contract
Paid for instructional time plus required planning/reporting as applicable
