ResponsibilitiesCandidate will work with our geotechnical and materials testing/inspections departments and be responsible for a wide variety of projects for public and private sector clients. Duties may include but are not limited to test boring/test pit observations, laboratory analysis, preparation of geotechnical reports/calculation, management of field staff, review of daily field reports, performance of on-site construction materials testing services.
Requirements- Must be local to the Northern New Jersey market and have deep local industry experience and relationships.
- Valid driver s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Must meet pre-employment requirements.
- Reliable vehicle suitable for use on construction sites.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, etc.).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in the geotechnical engineering consulting industry.
- Professional Engineering license in New Jersey.
- Familiarity with New Jersey specific codes and requirements for geotechnical explorations.
- Familiarity with geotechnical software (i.e., Gint, L-Pile, MSEW, etc.).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong business development experience.
- Ability to interpret engineering and construction plans/specifications.
