Lead and manage epitaxial growth activities for the production and development of laser and detector materials, including EMLs and DFBs. Ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of MOCVD reactors, and maintain a reliable supply of epitaxial materials for production. Collaborate closely with processing and device teams to achieve optimal material performance. Implement and uphold ISO 9000 quality standards while ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Coordinate all epitaxial material growth and characterization activities supporting laser manufacturing and R&D
  • Drive continuous improvement in laser component performance and material quality
  • Ensure a safe, efficient, and cost-effective work environment
  • Provide technical guidance and support to MOCVD engineers and technicians
  • Collaborate with senior management to define production schedules and development priorities
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver documentation and training in compliance with ISO 9000 standards

  • Ensure a consistent and sufficient supply of high-quality epitaxial materials for laser products
  • Improve device yield through optimization of material growth processes
  • Maintain MOCVD equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Uphold safety standards and best practices in all operations
  • Foster a high-performance work environment that emphasizes quality, efficiency, and employee development
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in MOCVD crystal growth of III‑V semiconductor lasers and related devices
  • Master's degree or higher in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Strong expertise in epitaxial growth processes and materials characterization techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
