At ANS, a growing civil engineering firm specializing in renewable energy and infrastructure projects, we are seeking a motivated and driven Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our New Jersey office.

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 a year.

Required Qualifications
  • BS in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related degree.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally for up to one week at a time, once per month.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, and a results‑oriented attitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Minimum 8 years of consulting engineering experience or related field.
  • Experience preparing engineering reports with strong technical writing skills.
  • Experience working within and leading team environments.
  • Working knowledge of geotechnical principles and engineering design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical licensure track (EIT, GIT, PE, PG, PMP, or similar).
  • Experience planning, implementing, overseeing, and managing subsurface investigation programs.
  • Prior work with geotechnical investigations, including soil borings, rock coring, and material testing.
  • Experience with foundation design, excavation support, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical software such as gINT, Geo Studio, LPILE, ALLPILE, Deep Ex.
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a high‑performing team of engineering and technical professionals.
  • Conduct geotechnical field investigations, construction observation, and engineering evaluation and technical analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports and summaries, and interface directly with coworkers, clients, and stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Perform technical analyses, including foundation design, excavation support, and other engineering evaluations.
  • Participate in career growth opportunities, such as elective continuing education courses, community and professional society involvement, and project management experiences that expand your skill set.
