Collections Analyst

Job Overview

Collections Analyst – South Plainfield, New Jersey – Full time, Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm. This role manages accounts receivable, drives collections performance, and works with internal teams and external customers to resolve billing issues.

• Monitor aging reports, identify overdue accounts, and target delinquent accounts.
• Contact customers via phone and email to resolve outstanding balances and collect payments.
• Analyze payment trends and recommend credit holds or escalations.
• Collaborate with billing, customer service, and sales teams to resolve unpaid invoices and customer inquiries.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and forecasts on collection status.
• Track inquiry, outbound engagement, and ad‑hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Support order‑to‑cash improvement projects as requested.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in collections or accounts receivable.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently with large data volumes.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet multiple deadlines, and maintain urgency.
• Net Suite and Salesforce experience preferred but not required.

• Competitive base compensation $55,000–$69,000 per year.
• Office‑based in South Plainfield–4days a week plus 1day remote option.
