Production Supervisor – South Plainfield, NJ
Play an integral role on the filling line at our South Plainfield plant. Responsibilities include supervising associates, managing safety compliance, improving process performance, and ensuring product quality.
Responsibilities- Lead and support the activities of 2+ plant production associates to achieve team goals.
- Partner with other Plant Supervisors to maintain smooth, collaborative day‑to‑day operations.
- Promote safety compliance, proactively addressing unsafe acts or conditions.
- Coordinate responsibilities, review production schedules, and estimate team‑hour requirements.
- Maintain time, production records and mandate adherence to compliance documentation.
- Implement improvements to enhance production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Engage team members, drive shared goal achievement, mentor others, and coordinate career‑development initiatives.
- Assist Plant Manager in capital‑investment planning and inventory level coordination.
- Execute any other duties or projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a distribution environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using metrics to improve efficiency.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Basic arithmetic, rates, percent, and ratios knowledge.
- Self‑starter, self‑motivated, organized, and independent worker.
- Attention to detailed compliance documentation.
- Commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Experience using SAP.
- Technical knowledge of compressed gases, gas analysis and gas lab equipment.
Talk, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch; lift up to 60 lbs and move up to 125 lbs with aid of material‑handling equipment. Must work in temperatures ranging from −10 to over 100°F. Exposure to loud noise, chemicals and moving mechanical parts.
