Admera Health is expanding its Single-Cell & Spatial Genomics platform team and is seeking a PhD or Senior Scientist I-level candidate to help build and scale next-generation multi-omics workflows.
We are looking for scientists with strong hands-on experience in NGS, single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and histology-based tissue analysis
, who are interested in moving beyond execution toward platform development and workflow engineering
.
- Hands-on execution and optimization of scRNA-seq / snRNA-seq workflows
- Tissue dissociation, nuclei isolation, and low-input sample processing
- Library preparation, QC, and performance optimization
- Focus on robustness, scalability, and reproducibility of workflows
- Spatial transcriptomics workflow execution and development
- FFPE and fresh frozen tissue processing
- Spot-based and in situ spatial technology workflows
- Ensuring spatial data quality and biological consistency
- Basic understanding of H&E staining and tissue morphology
- Integration of histology (H&E / IHC) with spatial transcriptomics data
- ROI (region-of-interest) selection and tissue-guided experimental design
- Linking tissue structure with molecular and spatial readouts
- RNA-seq, WGS, WES, and targeted panel library preparation
- PCR, nucleic acid extraction, and molecular biology techniques
- QC of libraries and sequencing-ready samples
- Experience with FFPE, degraded RNA, or low-input samples preferred
- Independently execute and optimize NGS, single-cell, and spatial workflows
- Improve workflow robustness, throughput, and reproducibility
- Develop and refine new laboratory protocols and SOPs
- Troubleshoot complex experimental and sample-related issues
- Maintain accurate experimental documentation and deviation records
- Collaborate with bioinformatics teams to align wet lab and data outputs
- Train junior scientists on laboratory procedures and best practices
- Support client-facing technical communication and reporting
Required
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or related field
- (or M.S. with 3+ years of relevant experience)
- Strong foundation in molecular biology (PCR, library prep, nucleic acid work)
- Hands-on experience with NGS workflows
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with scRNA-seq and/or spatial transcriptomics
- Experience with FFPE tissue or histology workflows
- Exposure to tissue processing and morphology-based experimental design
- Experience in high-throughput or service-oriented genomics environments
- Experience in workflow optimization or SOP development
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Understands not just how to run experiments, but how to scale and standardize workflows
- Can connect tissue biology, spatial context, and gene expression
- Has experience moving from kit execution to workflow ownership to platform thinking
- Is motivated to build integrated single-cell + spatial + histology pipelines
- Build next-generation single-cell and spatial genomics platforms
- Move beyond execution into workflow engineering and platform development
- Work with complex clinical and research tissue samples
- Collaborate across wet lab, automation, and bioinformatics teams
