Laboratory Technician , Sanger, M-F EST

Position Overview

Laboratory Technician I, Sanger (Monday to Friday 11am-7:30pm EST) located in South Plainfield, NJ.

• Adhere to safety protocols and strict SOPs for sample handling, project processing, and documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, wash labware, and manage biohazardous waste.
• Sort incoming samples and prepare sequencing templates, including amplification and PCR purification.
• Assist in purifying sequencing templates and loading samples onto sequencing machines.
• Communicate professionally with customers and other departments via email and phone.
• May work with automation platforms and, if necessary, overtime, weekends, or alternative shifts with advanced notice.

• High School Diploma required; AAS Degree or equivalent laboratory experience preferred.
• 1+ year of laboratory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and learn new concepts quickly.
• Effective team player committed to goals; flexible and adaptable to changes; available Monday‑Friday onsite.
• Proactive and willing to work overtime when required.

Base Compensation: $16.50 – $20.50 per hour.
