Successful candidates for a Mechanic Helper 2 in our Shop should have basic knowledge of the heavy equipment repair industry, including but not limited to:

• Performing rental check‑ins & managing inventory of equipment
• Loading, unloading, and staging of equipment in the yard
• Cleaning and prepping equipment for delivery
• Ability to complete rigging and cribbing tasks
• Strong communication and team building skills
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks
• Shadow and support more senior technicians to enhance technical skill set
• Computer competency including Microsoft products as well as industry software
• Ability to read and write the English language
• Operation of heavy equipment
• Other duties as assigned

As a Mechanic Helper with Komatsu Company‑Owned Dealers East, the physically demanding work is performed in industrial environments and includes exposure to significant environmental conditions, including but not limited to:

• Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing
• Working at heights
• Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, bending, and crouching
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds
• Hand/eye and motor coordination
• Work overtime as needed
• The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, cold, odors, hazards, and atmospheric exposures

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $26.65. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
