Bus Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bus Maintenance Technician to join our team for a year-long contract. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a strong ability to maintain and repair Volvo/Prevost buses using OEM software and diagnostic platforms.

• Remove and install bus seats or repair existing ones as needed.
• Utilize OEM software and diagnostic platforms to troubleshoot complex coach systems.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and repair engines, electrical systems, air conditioning, steering, and braking systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buses.
• Use hand tools effectively to complete various maintenance tasks.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in using OEM software and diagnostic platforms.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex bus systems.

• Maintenance repair experience.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or engineer.

The role involves working on Volvo/Prevost buses in a hands-on environment. Candidates must have their own tools and be prepared for a practical, tool-based work setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Plainfield, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
