Service Dispatcher

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Service Dispatcher to join our team in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will coordinate daily transportation activities, communicate with drivers, manage scheduling, and ensure timely pickup and delivery operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with dispatching experience in the service dispatching.

Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

• Coordinate daily pickup and delivery schedules with drivers.
• Communicate with internal teams to ensure efficient execution of daily operations.
• Schedule and manage pickup and return appointments.
• Track shipments, containers, and equipment to ensure on-time service.
• Monitor driver progress and provide updates as needed.
• Coordinate roadside assistance and repairs for equipment breakdowns.
• Enter and maintain accurate dispatch and shipment information in company systems.
• Resolve scheduling and service issues in a timely manner.
• Complete daily dispatch reporting and administrative tasks.

• Previous service dispatching experience required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with computer systems and data entry.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow directions.
