Texas Instruments is seeking an Engineering Section Manager. This role provides leadership to both the process and equipment team within a particular engineering section. You will oversee the activities related to the technical support, maintenance, and sustaining engineering functions in a product manufacturing area. You may plan and direct implementation of equipment and process modifications to improve tool uptime, production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, and production yields for existing products.
You will also help ensure the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel to produce quality products at minimum costs, and you will select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Lead and supervise the process and equipment team within the assigned engineering section, ensuring effective technical support, maintenance, and sustaining engineering activities in a product manufacturing area. Plan and direct implementation of equipment and process modifications to improve tool uptime, production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, and production yields for existing products. Optimize use of materials, equipment, and personnel to produce quality products at minimum costs.
Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Experience managing or supervising a team
- Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
