AFC Urgent Care has developed a wonderful reputation in the community for having a professional, kind and efficient medical team that can be depended upon to deliver the highest quality urgent care. We are looking to expand our provider team with highly talented Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners who seek to provide not only exceptional care, but to deliver exceptional experiences to our patients.

Part time positions available with the potential for full time. Must be comfortable seeing 3-4/patients per hour and working independently. Shifts are typically 12 hour shifts (8am-8pm) or 8 hour shifts (9am-5pm) during the week and 9 hour shifts (8am-5pm) during the weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient interviews to obtain/update medical history, perform physical examinations for chief complaint(s) and accurately diagnose illnesses and injuries
  • Orders and interpret diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, labs, and EKGs
  • Perform minor medical procedures, such as suturing, wound debridement, incision & drainage, splinting and foreign body removal
  • Prescribe medication and treatments as needed
  • Clearly communicate and educate patient on diagnosis and treatment plan
  • Document patient care services by charting in the patient’s electronic medical record
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment to protect staff and patients
  • Help lead and develop the care team consisting of experienced Medical Assistants and X-Ray Techs
Training and Experience Requirements:
  • A Master's degree and certification by Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certifying body is required. Must have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictions.
  • BLS certified.
  • Clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
